Professional DevelopmentOne of the central missions of LA-APA is to foster and promote the professional development of its members. To help members increase their skills and knowledge, the LA-APA sponsors a number of workshops and programs during the year, in addition to the statewide and national APA conferences. To further the careers of members, as well as provide a valuable resource to the local planning community, the LA-APA provides an online job bank with job and internship listings, in addition to information on preparing for the AICP exam. The LA APA also welcomes and promotes student involvement in APA by sponsoring a career fair held annually at a local university.
