The Young Leaders Group Mentorship Series Continues

We would like to thank our August mentor, Steve Preston, FAICP, City Manager for the City of San Gabriel, and all who attended and made it a memorable event!
Our September mentor will be Amy Bodek, AICP, Director of Development Services for the City of Long Beach. As director of the city's newly-expanded Development Services Department, she oversees its planning, building, redevelopment, housing and neighborhood services functions. Bodek previously served as manager and executive director of the Long Beach Redevelopment Agency. She has worked for the City of Long Beach since 1992, when she began her career in its Management Assistant Program. Her background is in design, urban planning, redevelopment and real estate transactions.
When: Thursday, September 23 at 6:30 pm (formal discussion will begin at 7 PM)

*Happy hour drink specials are available until 7 PM. YPG will provide complimentary appetizers.
We will be capping each mentorship event at 15 people to facilitate conversation with our mentors.

Young Planners Group Volunteer Programs
The LA APA Young Planners Group is now providing opportunities for our members to donate their time to worthy causes! Please join us in participating in one of three beach cleanups for Heal the Bay, a nonprofit, environmental organization dedicated to keeping Southern California’s coastal waters clean and safe. This will be a fun way to get outside and get some sun, meet other new planning professionals, and donate your time to a worthy cause!
