Research Associates’ responsibilities include forecasting U.S. commercial property market conditions (for office, industrial, retail and apartment property types), preparing market reviews, and providing background research on a variety of subjects. Other responsibilities include: educating clients and internal staff on current market trends via direct communication, articles and oral presentations; updating monthly publications that track the economy and capital markets; writing articles for the quarterly research newsletter; preparing annual market summaries for assets in the CBRE Investors portfolio; promptly responding to requests from clients and consultants; and, writing or assisting with the production of specialized studies on topics of current interest, including global markets and investment trends. This position will be based in the Los Angeles headquarters.

We are looking for a candidate with a demonstrated interest in market research as a career path, with a broad skill-set. A minimum of three years relevant work experience, preferably in an investment advisory or other commercial real estate environment, is required. An advanced degree in urban planning, real estate development or a related discipline is essential. Excellent written and oral communication skills are critical. Candidate must possess strong analytical skills and an understanding of statistical analysis and modeling. This is not a financial analysis position.
