The City of Duarte is seeking energetic candidates, who, if selected for employment, will be given the opportunity to expand their professional skills by working on a variety of projects.  Ideal candidates will have the ability and desire to excel in:
•    performing a wide range of professional planning tasks
•    evaluating architectural proposals and site plans
•    communicating clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing; and
•    being part of a departmental team.

Up to 2 Positions Available – to be filled at the appropriate level, based on the qualifications of the successful candidate(s)
Assistant Planner (Salary Range: $4,335 - $5,350/mo; Hiring Range: $4,335 - $4,673)
Associate Planner (Salary Range: $5,446 - $6,557/mo; Hiring Range: $5,446 - $5,814)
Plus excellent benefits package including 2.5% @ 55 and 4/10 work schedule

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Although the City is open to other appropriate combinations, candidates should have a have Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in planning, urban studies, or a related field, and one year or experience in municipal planning for the Assistant Planner position or three years of experience in municipal planning for the Associate Planner position.
