Please join us in touring Long Beach's latest and greatest. We will be meeting at Union Station at 10 am and take the Blue Metro Line to meet our tour guides. The tour will culminate at the Boardwalk for Happy Hour fun for those interested in continuing the Long Beach experience.

The Tour: The walking tour will focus on recent developments in Downtown Long Beach, including new residential development within the Downtown Core, near the Metro BlueLine, new entertainment and restaurants in the Pike and near the Aquarium of the Pacific, and recent renovations in the East Village and Willmore City Historic District. Discussion will focus on the preparation of an innovative Downtown Community Plan that will provide urban design guidance to the flexible form-based zoning and development standards that will shape the next wave of development Downtown. The tour will also include a discussion of GreenPort initiatives by the Port of Long Beach.

The tour will end with a ride on the Big Red Bus (double-decker) to the periphery of Downtown and other nearby points of interest.
