Cal Poly Pomona's College of Environmental Design is preparing a series
of summer extension courses which are intended to prepare design
professionals to play a part in the implementation of Senate Bill 375,
the new state law encouraging local governments to coordinate land use
and transportation plans to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.  The
courses could be taken on an "a la carte" basis or, in sequence, could
qualify a student to earn a "Certificate in Local and Regional
Sustainability."

UC Davis Extension offers a variety of hot-topic courses in water and natural resources for professionals in the public and private sector. 

Taught by expert instructors, these courses cover issues ranging from CEQA and 
NEPA processes to drought management and habitat restoration. A full course

Over 1500 students, staff, faculty and administrators in California higher education will gather from June 20-23, 2010 at the 9th annual California Sustainability Conference at the Los Angeles Trade-Technical College. The conference is intended to explore ways to implement social, environmental, and economic sustainability on California campuses.

The Los Angeles Community College District welcomes submissions to present best practices and learn about innovations in campus operations, planning, design, curriculum, and research. Submital forms are attached.

This is a fantastic inventory of over 1,600 public artworks in more than 100 Southern California cities. You can locate a specific city, artist or artwork by scrolling down the lists for each community. The inventory is alphabetical by city, with artworks listed chronologically by their installation dates.

Attached is the report of the Third Annual California Chapter of the American Planning Association Diversity Summit that took place in Hollywood, Ca. The report consists of written speeches of the speakers and transcription and notes taken during break-out portion of the program by the various group discussion facilitators.
