 SCAG is now accepting nominations for its Sixth Annual Compass Blueprint Recognition Awards. Last year's Recognition Awards Program was well received and we hope to build on this momentum and enjoy another memorable program this year. The Compass Blueprint Recognition Awards are presented annually in recognition of projects that demonstrate excellence and achievement in the four key elements of Compass Blueprint planning: Livability, Mobility, Prosperity, and Sustainability.

For our fourth consecutive year, the Davenport Institute for Public Engagement and Civic Leadership (previously conducted through Common Sense California) invites applications for its 2011 Public Engagement Grant Program. This year, over $50,000 will be distributed amongst grant-recipients in the form of funded public engagement consulting services with a maximum individual grant amount of $25,000. Applications through our easy-to-use website are due by September 14, 2011 with final grantees announced on September 29, 2011.
